I started my yoga journey in 2006 while pregnant with my 2nd child Lauren. I enjoyed the calm and peace it brought to my life. I then went on to have a home practice for 4 years. In September of 2010, I walked into my first hot yoga class and truly fell in love, I have always been a runner and enjoyed many years of racing everything from 5k’s to marathons and trail races, but this was something different. The yoga began truly as another “workout” for me and turned into “a work within my body and spirit”. After each practice I felt more calm and accepting within myself and that affected all those around me, my husband , my children, family and friends. I also began the journey to let go of perfectionism, which was always so exhausting and left me feeling overwhelmed. I found by letting go, I became free to find joy and acceptance within myself. I decided to teach because I truly wanted to share this beautiful freedom with others.
I’m blessed to work for the amazing, Southwest Airlines, as a Flight Attendant. I have been there for 18 years. It’s where I met my husband Robert, who is a Pilot. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Savannah (10), and Lauren (7). I have a crazy dog Houston and 4 cats that are all rescues. I truly have a passion for animals.
My journey to teach has strengthened my journey here in this life adding balance, acceptance, letting go, joy, knowledge, and peace.
I love to read… and one of my favorite quotes: “How to be at peace now? By making peace with the present moment. The present moment is the field on which the game of life happens. Once you have make peace, you realize that you don’t live your life, but life lives you. Life is the dancer and you are the dance.” Eckhart Tolle
